ICAR - ARS - NET Exam

Exams
Indian council of Agriculture Research is the largest scientific organisation in India with most number of research institutes. ARS NET EXAM  is the only life science exam in India that allows you to become a Scientist in ICAR institutes all over India with just the qualification of M.Sc in the concerned subject. That itself tells the importance of this exam. The exam is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR and Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) wing for filling direct scientist vacancies in ICAR institutes across India. But the exams will be conducted only when scientist vacancies arises. So you should be very careful not to miss the notification of this exam.

Why you should write this exam?
As I mentioned, the only exam that will post you in Scientist B position with your Msc qualification. But only those getting top ranks in the exam will be called for interview at ICAR headquarters, Pusa, New Delhi there further screening and final selection takes place.
But this is an exam for Lectureship eligibility also, the only exam recognised by UGC for lectureship eligibility across India other than CSIR-UGC NET exam. This is a great advantage for those who find difficulty in qualifying UGC NET exam. The questions are mainly from the agricultural sciences. Separate questions will be given for different subjects like botany, zoology, biotechnology, vetinery science, fisheries etc.
My suggestion is you should never miss the notification of this exam. This is the exam where your chance of qualifying NET is very high.
