Difference between Pinocytosis and Phagocytosis

1	It is the bulk intake of fluid matter including solutes by a cell (Cell Drinking)	It is the intake of solid matter by a cell (Cell Eating)
2	The vesicles are formed by invaginations of the plasma membrane(cell membrane)	The vesicles are formed by the evagination of the membrane around the food particles.
3	There is no exocytosis at the end of pinocytosis	Exocytosis occurs at the end of phagocytosis to throw out the undigested food particles
4	Pinosomes have no functional significance for pinocytosis	Phagosomes do not directly release their contents inside the cell
5	Lysosomes have no functional significance for pinocytosis	Lysosomes combine with phagosomes to form food vacuole.
